Deportivo de La Coruña has announced a new partnership with Sportworks.io, an AI-driven commercial design solution that helps sports organisations create, structure, and optimise commercial pitch materials and partnership proposals. The agreement has been supported and facilitated by SGI, acting on behalf of Deportivo throughout the structuring and execution of the partnership.

The collaboration introduces a new capability within Deportivo’s commercial operations, enabling the team to build higher-quality, faster, and more targeted commercial proposals for brands and partners. By leveraging Sportworks.io’s AI-powered platform, the club will enhance how it prepares sales assets, develops partnership narratives, and communicates value to potential sponsors.

The initiative reflects a broader shift across the sports industry towards the practical application of AI in commercial workflows, not as a conceptual layer, but as a tool to improve execution, efficiency, and output quality.

Sportworks.io will support Deportivo’s commercial team by streamlining the creation of pitch decks, sponsorship proposals, and partner-facing materials, helping the club respond more effectively to commercial opportunities and accelerate deal processes.

Guillermo Vidal, Commercial Lead at Deportivo de La Coruña, commented:

“This partnership represents a significant step forward in optimising our commercial processes, allowing us to reduce the time needed to design customised proposals for sponsors and to continue strengthening our commitment to innovation.”

Joseph Housley, CEO of Sportworks.io, commented:

“Going live with Deportivo de La Coruña is a proud moment for us at Sportworks. The club’s ambition and commercial drive made this a natural fit. Our focus is simple: helping sports organisations build better commercial materials, faster, using AI to improve how they present and win deals. This partnership marks an important step in our international expansion, and we’re grateful to Diego Pesque and the SGI team for their role in making it happen.”

From SGI’s perspective, the partnership highlights the growing importance of practical AI adoption in commercial sports environments.

Diego Pesque, Country Manager Spain at SGI, stated:

“What stands out in this partnership is the practical application of AI to a very real commercial need. This is not about replacing people or processes, but about enhancing how commercial teams prepare and deliver their value to the market. For Deportivo, it means better pitch materials, faster turnaround times, and stronger engagement with potential partners. Ultimately, it gives the club a more competitive commercial toolkit.”

The partnership positions Deportivo de La Coruña among the early adopters in European football of AI-supported commercial design tools, reinforcing the club’s commitment to modernising its commercial strategy and improving deal execution capability.

SGI acted as strategic advisor and facilitator throughout the process, ensuring alignment between all parties and tailoring the solution to the club’s commercial requirements.
